40% Off – Old Lunchbag Journalling Tags

August 30, 2008

My latest product, Old Lunchbag Journalling Tags, has just been released, and you can grab it for 40% off from now until Sunday, September 7. The kit contains 10 crumpled paper bag tags, in both png format and layered psd format. The layered psd files include pre-shaped text boxes allowing you to add journalling that follows the shape of the tag. The kit also comes with an instructional video that shows you how to replace the journalling text in the psd file with your own journalling, as well as a quick and easy way to recolor the outline on the tag with a color that matches your layout.

If you’d like to try a tag before you buy the set, you can download a freebie here. The freebie set also comes with an instructional video that shows you how to replace the journalling text in the psd file with your own journalling.

Enjoy, and happy journalling!

Quick Tip – Zoom with your Scroll Wheel

August 23, 2008

When I’m working on a scrapbook page, I find I’m constantly zooming in to work on a small detail, and then zooming out to see the overall effect, but using the menus to select the zoom percentage or using the toolbar to switch from the tool I’m using to the zoom tool and back can be very cumbersome.

If you use Photoshop Elements and have a mouse with a scroll wheel, there’s a Preference setting that makes this very quick and easy.

From the main menu at the top of your Photoshop Elements window, click on Edit, then Preferences, then General.  The window shown below will appear.  Make sure the check box for “Zoom with Scroll Wheel” is selected, and click on OK.

Now, all you have to do is position your cursor on the spot you want to see close-up and roll your scroll wheel up to zoom in, and then roll your scroll wheel down to zoom out.  Much easier!
